The College of Graduate Studies was established in 1994 through programs that were previously under the umbrella of two previous colleges (the College of Applied Sciences and the College of Education). The college presently provides unique programs that are not currently available at other universities in the Gulf region.
The college provides programs in special education, and in particular gifted education; learning disabilities; intellectual disabilities & autistic disorder; and distance learning and training. In addition, the college also provides programs in the field of technology, and in particular Biotechnology; Technology Management; Environmental Management; Desert and Arid Zone Sciences; GIS Remote Sensing; Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources; Desert Farming and Soil less Agriculture.
On the basis of its believes in quality assurance in education, the college of graduate studies always tend to apply “ the case study “ technique in almost all the instructional assignments required from the students. It also correlates between the field of study and the Arab and Islamic culture; society; and religion through a course in Islamic studies.
The college is proud of its proving graduates who are working in various different establishments in the Gulf region and obtain the required skills and competencies in order to cope successfully with any challenges they encounter. It also gives us a great pleasure to welcome new students, and we hope they succeed, have an enjoyable time during their study at the AGU and be able to contribute in developing the future of the Arab countries.
