The Arabian Gulf University
Library supports the university community's academic resource
needs. The library holds approximately 40.000 volumes,
monographs, encyclopedias and dictionaries. The library
provides access to 2 electronic databases. Library users can
also access the World Wide Web at terminals in the library.
The library is organized into two separate libraries, one
serving the students and faculty of the College of Medicine and
Medical Sciences and, the other serving students and faculty
from the Post-Graduate College. The Medical Library established
in 1982. The Post-Graduate Library followed four years later
with its opening in 1986. The medical collection consists of
English language items whereas, the post-graduate collection
comprises both English and Arabic materials. The library is
located on the first floor of the university's Salmaniya Campus
