Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the degree of social adjustment of puplis of the higher elementary cycle at UNRWA schools in Jordan and its relation to their achievement. The study attempted to idenfity the variables that predict with a high degree and statistical significance puplils’ social adjustment taking into account the two variables: achievement, and family income. The study also attempted to investigate the differences amongst the participants of the population of the study in light of the vaiables of gender and class grade. To achieve the purpose of the study, the Social Adjustment Inventory was administered amognst the participants of the cluster sample who were randomly selectoed and conssited of (250) male and female pupils of the higher elementary cycle. Analysisi of the multi-linear regression showed that the family income is the variable that predicts with a high degree the pupil’s social adjustment. Where as, the pupil’s school achievement rated second. Results also showed that there are no statistically significatn differences at (? ³ 0.05) in the degree of the pupil’s social adjustement that can be attreibuted ot the gender and class grade.
