  • Research Coordinator/ Medical Education
Job Description
VIII. Job Description: The Research Coordinator will plan and conduct various research activities in pursuit to the goals of the project and work closely with the Principal investigator and the knowledge users.
IX. Roles and Responsibilities:
• As a Research Coordinator, in supporting the Principal Investigator(PI) by facilitating and coordinating the daily clinical trial activities and in the conduct of the study
• As a Researcher to assist in administrative aspects of the research
• As Research data collector, in collecting, checking the accuracy and security of the research data and as Research data Analyst, in determining the appropriate statistical methodology to meet their study needs and objectives and to summarize and interpret statistical results
• In Teaching /Academics in developing and implementing curriculum instructional materials and assess student performance as well as supervising undergraduate students working on the research project and mentoring research staff and students
• In Gifted Program by assisting in development of Curriculum, materials and tools necessary, train the individuals involved on protocol requirements, execution of research plan, mentor selected students in writing a research paper and submitting a paper to a Journal and maintain documents
• In Faculty Development Workshop by identifying and conducting Develops faculty development events, workshops, program, seminars, learning communities and conferences and conduct surveys for evaluation of clinical tutor performance
• Any other job related to Medical Education as assigned by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Medical Education
• Post-secondary degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with community research-based principles.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
• Knowledge of qualitative/quantitative research methods
• Comfortable using research based software - NVivo, SPSS, EndNote Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Clinical Simulation Instructor for CSSC :( clinical skill and simulation center), in the college of medicine.
Job Description
The clinical skill and simulation center
is a new development in college of medicine ,The instructor is expected to work with three clinical instructors (trainers )on high fidelity manikins to cover medical simulation program at undergraduate level based on the faculty curriculum .


JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A.Champion the use of simulation to include integrating patient safety, quality, and risk management data with current simulation technology.

B. Coordinate development, organization, and performance of complex simulation,
Exercises utilizing mannequin, scenario, virtual reality, in-situ or standardized patients for various departments within the Simulation Center and for outside professional organizations.

C. Provide oversight and direction to assist professional personnel in the incorporation of simulation into curricula, including development of educational materials, structure of the session, debriefing techniques and practices selection of appropriate equipment, and use of survey instruments.

D. Provide expertise in debriefing management for the Simulation center. Promote and ensure optimal debriefing procedures and techniques to enhance clinical decision-making during training.

E. Manage effective debriefing strategies to enhance clinical thinking, teamwork and practice reflection.

F. Development, and modification of protocols, implementation, collection, and analysis of data, and report of results.

G. Develop working relationships with and serve as a liaison to administrators, physicians, nurses, residents, and students throughout the simulation center as well as with other educational advisors, and research organizations.

L. Collaborate with the medical director and associate medical directors (leadership, administrators or stakeholders) to develop and implement short, intermediate, and long-term educational, research, and community outreach goals.




Qualifications
Qualification and EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor Degree of medicine (MBBS) or equivalent is required.
• Experience in clinical simulation is required (diploma in clinical simulation is preferable but not a must).
• Minimum three years management experience in clinical simulation.
• Strong computer skills with experience in various data base management tools.
