Chair of the Late HH Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al- Khalifa, Amir of Bahrain
in the field of Technology Management



About the ChairThis Chair in the field of  Technology Management was established by the Late HH Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al- Khalifa, may he rest in peace, in the academic year 1994/95 and has since been renewed with the consent of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al- Khalifa of Bahrain for the period 1999/2000 to 2004/2005.
Goals of the Chair
  • To develop study plans for the Graduate Program in Management of Technology, and develop specialized courses in the curriculum of technology management.
  • To develop research activities in the technology management program.
  • To provide services for distance learning.
Most important achievements
  • To prepare reports and educational workshops for entities such as the Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Municipalities, Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the United Nations Environmental Program.
  • To hold numerous seminars, courses and workshops in the field of technology management.
  • To participate in numerous activities, scientific conferences and workshops.
  • To be actively involved in GCC and the Arabian Gulf University with forums
    and specialized scientific events.
  • To fully cooperate with the Bahrain Society of Engineers in the preparation and implementation of educational conferences.
  • To establish horizontal academic relationships between graduate programs at the university, especially the Environmental Management, and the Distance Learning Programs.
  • To establish close relationships with industrial and commercial companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain through the projects carried out by diploma students supervised by a group of educational experts.
