We are pleased to announce the approval of launching a medically-based website personalized to our dear students, as they have kindly requested. This promising accomplishment will benefit fellow medical students from neighboring GCC medical schools, as well as, colleges of medicine and medical sciences. We are further pleased to observe the focused interest of our motivated students in commencing strong means of scientific communication, with an intended plan of using a specialized approach. This includes exchanging knowledge and experience by sharing lecture notes, case studies, and clinical cases from local hospitals. It also opens doors to strengthening allied relationships with fellow counterparts; a principle adopted by the Arabian Gulf University, emphasizing the true meaning of unity. We are proud to announce the site's launching with a chief concurrent event, the Fifth GCC Medical Student Conference, which will take place in early 2008. This conference will hold several workshops and discussions aiming to enhance the methods of self-learning, as well as, improving individual independence and creativity. All of which are essential characteristics every brilliant physician needs to flourish. As traditionally practiced, the Arabian Gulf University supports such aiming student interventions with full encouragement. This being one of the many positive aspects that qualify the university to be honored with a highly prestigious award such as: the "Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoom" award for the best medical college in the Arab region for the year 2005/2006. We wish the greatest of creative endeavors for the site's launching. As we warmly welcome all conference participants, hoping for them a successful and pleasant stay in their second home, the Arabian Gulf University!
