About Bahrain

Travel

The Kingdom of Bahrain has an international airport (http://bahrainairport.com/bia/index.htm) and the King Fahad causeway bridge connects it to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Visa information is available on this website (http://www.evisa.gov.bh/); visas are your responsibility so please check on this site.

GCC citizens do not need a visa to enter Bahrain and most GCC residents can avail of a visa on arrival at the airport or causeway. Please check whether you need a visa before coming and if you need help in applying for a visa, please contact Dr Feisal Subhan (feisalmm@agu.edu.bh).

There is little public transport in Bahrain. Taxis fares in Bahrain are among the highest in the Gulf region. If you do need one, Arabian Taxi (London Cabs) has a reliable service available at the airport and they can also be called when needed (+973 1746 1746).
