Bio

Dr. Alaa Elmazny graduated with distinction, earning her MBBCh degree in Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University. Continuing her academic pursuits, she went on to achieve a Master’s degree in Neuropsychiatry in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Neurology in 2015. Dr. Elmazny’s expertise has been acknowledged with the prestigious Fellowship of the European Board of Neurology, awarded to her in 2022. She served as a principal investigator in research projects focused on multiple sclerosis, headache and epilepsy and has also served as a peer reviewer for various indexed journals including the multiple sclerosis and related disorders and therapeutic advances in neurological disorders journals. Currently, Dr. Elmazny serves as a consultant neurologist at King Abdullah Medical City in Bahrain, holds the position of an assistant professor of internal medicine at the Arabian Gulf University, and is also an associate professor of neurology at Cairo University, Egypt.
