The general service unit was established to provide the faculty, staff, and students with the care and comfort that they need. This unit provides services that try to overcome any difficulties or hardships that the units face by offering many services to the University, and providing these services in the best possible manner. The services include:

Transportation Services Section

This service section provides the university transportation that is sufficient to transport the students to the university and back to their residences in the different areas of the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the dormitories in Sakhir.

Providing transport for the medical students that are training in the morning and evening at the different health centers around the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Providing transport to send off and receive students at the airport, and to transport the students to their dormitories when they reach the Kingdom of Bahrain in the beginning of the school year, on public holidays, weekends and at the end of the academic year.

Providing transport for students who are doing field research in the different areas and villages in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Providing daily transport for female students that reside in the dorms at Sakhir to the shopping districts to do shopping– up to three times per week.

Providing transport for both the male and female students that are training in the emergency and birth centers until ten pm, and also providing transport for higher education students.

Providing the necessary transport for those involved in conferences and seminars.

Providing transport for the higher education students that are doing field and practical research in the different schools.
Passports and Immigration Section

Oversees and handles of all the processes involved in obtaining entrance visas, and getting legal residence permits after expat employee reach Bahrain, along with making exit visas (for non-GCC residents) as required by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Renewing residence permits, re-entry visas and passports for some students through the embassies of their specific countries.

Obtaining entry visas from some Arab and foreign countries for the University staff from their specific embassies in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Obtaining entry visas for the foreign examiners and those participating in the conferences and seminars that the university holds.

Obtaining SMART cards for the university staff from the Central Bureau of Statistics when they come to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
University Communication Service Section
This section provides communication services to ease communication between the university staff and the outside world. This includes the sending and receiving of letters, telegrams, and packages. This section also provides the university with faxes to ease the local and overseas communication needs for students. The university post office collects and delivers mail (incoming and outgoing) of the students daily from and to their dormitory and the university campus. This section also collects and delivers all internal staff mail.
Miscellaneous Services

Providing public telephones for the students dormitories.

Helping students get private telephones in their dormitories, in joint effort with the university’s Student Affair’s Department, after completing the necessary procedures with the Bahrain Telecommunications Company.

Helping student obtain drivers licenses' and/or transferring them.
