The information technology (IT) Department’s main role is to support the development and maintenance of an IT infrastructure, encompassing hardware and software, to facilitate the University’s learning, research and administrative activities.

IT Department will be a leader as a model of excellence in the use of technology, which enables best business practice that foster better educational delivery.

Provide collaboration solutions for all facets of AGU educational and research activities in order to ensure increasing University visibility, Consider all of the opportunities for consolidation, convergence and connectivity offered by technology and sound business practices, Satisfy students, faculties and staff demands for technology services that will enhance the quality of life in colleges and campus.
The IT Department shall provide an IT Support Help Desk which offers help with email accounts, ID's, accessing the network and resources, installing supported software, setting up Hardware , and other computer problems and troubleshooting.
A user who needs help and assistant shell inform the I.T help desk by either one of the following ways:
- Calling the Helpdesk hotline on Ext: 550 / 663
- Sending an E-mail to : Helpdesk @agu.edu.bh
- By Walk –in personally to the I.T unit – Help desk section and ask for help.
