AGU Launches COVID19 awareness campaign

On the occasion of the glorious National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the twenty-first anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad's accession to the throne, the President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), Dr. Khalid Abdul Rahman Al-Ohaly, and the family of AGU raised their sincerest congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, along with the good government and loyal people of Bahrain.

On this occasion, the University President stated that the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain constitutes a fundamental pillar of the University since its inception in 1980, as the Kingdom of Bahrain hosted the headquarters of this unique Gulf project, and its support for the University did not stop at that. Our beloved Kingdom sponsored the University by allocating a piece of land for Princess Al-Jawhara Center and another one for King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City, as well as the establishment of His Majesty the King's Chair for e-Learning. Not to mention the political, financial, and social support for this Gulf edifice, which has become a model for joint Gulf action.

Moreover, the University launched a media campaign to raise awareness of the importance of following precautionary measures during the celebrations of the National Day in order to reduce the number of people infected with the virus and maintain public health inside and outside the University under the exceptional efforts made by the University administration and the team in charge of dealing with Corona virus (Covid-19), led by the faculty member in the Family and Community Medicine Program at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at AGU, Dr. Aseel AlSaleh.

In the same context, the Public Relations Unit at AGU distributed National Day gifts to members of the University's administrative and academic staff, and it decorated the halls of the University with National Day decorations and flags, praying to God to relive this occasion and others in the Kingdom of Bahrain with goodness, prosperity, progress and safety.
