AGU President Discusses Cooperative Relationships with French Ambassador

President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) Dr Abdulrahman Al Ohaly has received at his office at the university HE the French Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr Jérôme Cauchard, where they discussed the cooperative relationships and ways to cement them in the academic and scientific fields. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr Al Ohaly welcomed the French Ambassador, pointing to the depth of cooperation among both countries through the establishment of the French-Arabian Business School. He underlined that the university is striving to develop the collaboration relationships with the French universities thanks to the support of the French government to the GCC states. 

From his side, HE the French Ambassador expressed his happiness at visiting AGU, affirming his desire to continue developing cooperation with the university. He indicated to the successful partnership between AGU and ESC Clermont Business School in France to provide a Master’s programme in business administration since 12 years ago. 

“It’s important to expand our collaboration relationships with France in the academic and scientific sides. We have existing cooperation agreements with several pioneer establishments in France such as Airbus and they have contributed to bolstering the relationships among GCC and France. There is a great opportunity to cement the cooperation links in other academic fields like medicine and higher education as well as France’s participation in the scientific conferences that are organised regularly by AGU to take advantage of the rich experience and knowledge France has in many scientific areas,” Dr Al Ohaly explained during the event.
