The University encourages organizing and hosting conferences and other research activities by its faculty and students. These activities are usually done in collaboration with local, regional and institutional organizations. In the past five years these activities included two AGU Pearl Pediatric International Conferences, Antiaging Medicine Conference, Ethics and Regulations of Stem Cell Conference, 1st Bahrain Internal Medicine Conference, 1st Regional Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Conference, 1st Conference and Workshop on Computational Biology and Medicine, 1st Regional Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Conference, 3rd , 4th and 5th AGU Medical Students Conferences, 8th Regional Conference on Stem Cells: Promises and Controversies, the 9th Al Jawhara Scientific Conference “Towards Bahrain Genomic Project: Insights and International Experiences”, the conference of “Innovation in Gifted Education: A Road Map to Investing in Minds”, and the 1st GCC Conference for Education and Human Development. In 2019, in collaboration with the University of Bahrain (UoB), AGU organized the Millennium Biotechnology Pan Arab Conference (MBPAC) and with RCSI Bahrain the First AGU RCSI Joint Research Conference.
Faculty members are sponsored to present the findings of their research in international conferences as well as regional and local. In addition to assisting faculty in university held conferences, AGU students are sponsored to present in international conferences.
