Bio

Dr. Arekat studied medicine at the college of medicine and medical sciences (CMMS), Arabian Gulf University and graduated in 1993. She completed residency training in internal medidicne at Upstate Medical University(UMU), Syracuse ,New York between 1996-1999. She also did her fellowship training in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Joslin Diabetes center affiliate/UMU , Syracuse, New York 1999-2001. She has been licensed as a consultant endocrinologist in Kingdom of Bahrain since 2003. She worked at Joslin Diabetes center affilitae in Bahrain (GDSC), Dasman Diabetes Institute (Kuwait). She currently practices at King Hamad University Hospital and University Medical Center. As for her academic experience, she has been teaching in the internal medicine department at CMMS since 2013. She also has been appointed as the Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs since 2014.
