Prof. Rami Yaghan is the Chair of the Department of Surgery at Arabian Gulf University since 2017. He was previously a Professor of Surgery and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology. Prof. Yaghan was also previously a lecturer at Glasgow University. Prof. Rami has devoted his life to the fight against breast cancer. He reported the first case of a true anatomical breast hernia, which in turn, was named after his family name (reference 3 below). His hobbies include Chess, parrot breeding, cultivating olive trees, and playing the traditional music instrument Aoud.
