The researchers analyzed how these pillars collectively shape the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, using a qualitative exploratory approach.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"486\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.agu.edu.bh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/F34A8117-1-1024x486.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14350 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.agu.edu.bh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/F34A8117-1-980x465.jpg 980w, https:\/\/www.agu.edu.bh\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/F34A8117-1-480x228.jpg 480w\" data-sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1024px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1024\/486;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The researchers conducted 40 semi-structured interviews with startup founders, and the data collected was subjected to systematic analysis. The results revealed that the three countries have made tangible progress toward digitizing business registration procedures and providing support programs for early-stage companies; however, structural challenges continue to pose a fundamental obstacle.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Among the most prominent challenges are inconsistent policy implementation, regulatory ambiguity, and limited access to financing during growth stages, as well as ongoing difficulties in attracting and retaining specialized talent.
