Bio

Khalid Gaffer Mohamed (MBBS, MD, PhD) is an assistant professor in Family Medicine at the Arabian Gulf University. His research area of interest is PHC development in the health system and Communication Skills. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Khartoum (MBBS) in 1998. Took his five-year specialty (MD) in Family Medicine from Norway in 2008. He returned to Sudan in 2009 where he established The Gezira Family Medicine Project (first family medicine postgraduate training program) as a cofounder. He took his PhD from the University of Bergen in 2019. He joined the University of Taibah in Medinah, Saudi Arabia in 2013, where he gained a lot of certificates of acknowledgment for his efforts in implementing the PBL based Manchester curriculum. He joined the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) From 2022 where he teaches both undergraduate, Family Medicine Master post graduate students and Diploma in Clinical Research.
