Bio

Dr. Sahar R. Hamzah is an Assistant Professor of Digital Education and Innovation and Technology Management at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Hamzah teaches courses such as Managing Digital Transformation, Innovation in Education, and Technology Transfer. Her areas of research include pedagogies for digital transformation and AI-driven education, with a focus on Generative AI and its applications in media and communication, digital learning, and media innovation. She serves on AGU’s Internal Audit Committee, the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, as well as the Artificial Intelligence Policy and Research Ethics Committee at the Arabian Gulf University, where she contributes to shaping AI governance frameworks and ethical best practices. Dr. Hamzah was previously an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston at the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication in Texas, USA. She received her PhD in 2017 in Media and Communication from Queen Margaret University, in Edinburgh, UK.
