Bio

Prof. Rima Abdul Razzaq is the Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and the former Chairperson of the Physiology Department (2018-2023) at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU). She has taught physiology for 30 years to medical students and students from Health Sciences. She also taught Masters physiology and Neuroscience courses during her stay at King Faisal University in Dammam. At AGU, she prepared a Physics “Lecture Notes” manual for Year 1 students and a Physiology Lab manual/logbook for Year 2, 3 and 4 medical students. Prof. Rima chaired the Quality Assurance (QA) Committee for the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at AGU for 10 years (2014-2024). Prof. Rima edited the self-study report (SSR) and managed the online evidence for the MD program accreditation for ACCM commission in 2022. Prof. Rima has produced 31 publications, most of which are a result of international research collaboration and include AGU students. Prof. Rima has so far received 5 AGU-funded research grants during her 14-year appointment at AGU. Prof. Rima received the Award for Innovation in E-Learning for the Middle East region at the Reimagine Education Conference by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) (Bronze in 2016 and Silver in 2018).
