The first issue of Volume 44 of the Arabian Gulf Journal of Scientific Research: Water, Energy, Food, and Environment was published in May 2026, reflecting the journal’s commitment to promoting scientific research in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in particular, and around the world in general, in interrelated fields such as water, energy, food, and the environment. Editor-in-Chief Prof. Dr. Wahib Al-Nasser stated that the journal continues to solidify its position as a leading platform for publishing high-quality research addressing sustainability challenges in the Arabian Gulf region and beyond, and remains committed to publishing impactful studies that contribute to the sustainable management of resources, enhance environmental resilience and adaptability, and support technological innovation, while ensuring compliance with the recommendations of the British global publisher Emerald for a successful transition to the journal’s updated scope in 2025

The Arabian Gulf University has graduated 15 experts from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as part of the fifth cohort of its Professional Diploma Program in Waste Management, bringing the total number of graduates since the program’s inception in October 2021 to 106.
