The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) Centre for Community Service, Consultation, Training, and Continuing Education launched its new training plan for the academic year 2025/2026, as part of its continuous efforts to develop competencies and enhance the professional skills of academic and administrative faculty at the university.

This plan falls within the university's strategic vision that aims to enable academic and administrative faculty to interact with the latest developments in their specialisations while enhancing their capabilities for innovation and analysis. It also aims to develop the work environment in line with global trends in continuing education and professional development, which positively reflects on the quality of institutional performance within the university.

Director of the Centre, Dr Afaf Bugawa, stated that the new training plan includes specialised courses in the fields of quality management, customer service, project management and leadership. It also includes digital transformation workshops enabling cadres to optimally utilise information technology, which enhances teamwork and cooperation between the various departments at the university.

She stressed that these training programmes come within the framework of AGU’s commitment to developing an integrated educational and administrative environment characterised by innovation and professionalism, in accordance with the latest standards.

She pointed out the importance of investing in human competencies to achieve the university's strategic goals, stressing that developing employees' skills boosts their daily productivity and ensures the quality of training and knowledge transfer, which consolidates the university's position as a leading educational system.

In the same context, Dr Bugawa pointed out that the centre provided a series of diverse training programmes that improved the professional performance of its participants last year. These courses included workshops focusing on areas such as "Microsoft Excel", "Statistical Analysis Using SPSS", "First Aid", "Infographic Design", and other professional training workshops.

The upcoming training plan includes several specialised workshops, including the "Advanced Quality Management" workshop, which will be held next February to bring participants up to date with the latest practices in quality management and institutional excellence, the "Executive Secretary" workshop, which will focus on developing organisational and administrative skills, and the "Customer Service - Basic Level" workshop, which is a comprehensive course that aims to raise the efficiency of dealing with customers and improve the quality of service.

These efforts coincide with AGU’s endeavours to build an integrated educational and administrative environment that qualifies cadres who effectively serve the academic and administrative community alike.
