
President of the Arabian Gulf University Participates in Iftar with Students

As part of enhancing the familial spirit between the university and its students, His Excellency Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), accompanied by Dr Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al Otaibi, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Scientific Research, and Dr Abdulrahman Yusuf Ismail, Vice President for Support Services and Institutional Development, conducted a field visit to the student accommodation. During this visit, they shared a Ramadan iftar meal with the students in a warm and familial atmosphere.
The visit commenced with a tour of the student accommodation, where the President stood on the living conditions and services provided to the students. He listened to their feedback and suggestions for improving the living environment to better meet their needs while providing a comfortable and motivating educational setting. The students expressed their appreciation for the senior management’s commitment to closely monitor their affairs and consider their opinions.
During the iftar meal, the President joined the students at the dining table, where discussions centred around various topics of interest to them, including accommodation, meals and studies. In his remarks, the President emphasised that students are the backbone of the future and that the university is always striving to provide the necessary support for their success in their educational journeys.
Commenting further, Dr Al Fuhaid stated: “Such meetings reflect our commitment to fostering a sense of belonging within the university community, and we are proud to be part of these blessed moments during Ramadan with our students.”
In turn, the students expressed their happiness and gratitude for the visit, affirming that it signifies the university’s genuine care for them, not only in an academic sense but also from a humanitarian and social perspective.
At the conclusion of the visit, the President pledged to continue improving the services provided in university accommodation and to support students in achieving their ambitions.
This visit is part of a series of Ramadan activities organised by the university, aimed at enhancing community spirit and reviving the noble values characteristic of this holy month.
