Prof. Abdelhalim Deifalla graduated with a bachelor’s degree in medicine & surgery (MBBCh) from School of Medicine, Cairo University (Kasr Al-Aini), Egypt with honor. Obtained MSc degree from Suez Canal University and MD degree in Anatomy from Suez Canal University and Ludwig Maximillian University, Munich, Germany (Joint Program). He conducted postdoctoral studies as a research fellow at Louisiana State University Health Science Center, USA. He completed a certificate course in leadership in Leadership Academy, Center for Studies in Higher Education, Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California, Berkely and a certificate course in Leadership Strategies for Evolving Health Care Executives, Harvard T.H. Chan, School of Public health, Center for Executives and Continuing Professional Education. Over the past three decades, Prof. Deifalla has worked in Problem Based Learning medical schools in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Kingdom of Bahrain. He was Chairman of the College Curriculum Committee and the University Promotion Committee. He is a Professor of Anatomy, and served as Chairman of the Department of Anatomy, College of Medicine, Arabian Gulf University. Also served as a Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, and currently, is Dean of College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain. I am the director of WHO Collaborating Center for Health Professionals’ Educational Development, Arabian Gulf University, and Chair of the GCC Medical Deans Committee. He is a member of several international scientific organizations and societies. He is an editor and a reviewer in several regional and international medical journals. Prof. Deifalla has supervised several postgraduate MSc and PhD students in the field of anatomy and molecular genetics.
