Lecture on Teaching Strategies for Adult Students with ADHD by Dr. Hazem Al-Ismail at Bahrain Polytechnic

Arabian Gulf University Center for Consultancy and Training, in collaboration with the Department of Special Education at the College of Education, Administrative and Technical Sciences, organized a lecture at Bahrain Polytechnic on “Teaching Strategies for Adult Students with ADHD, presented by Dr. Hazem Al-Ismail, Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education at Arabian Gulf University, in the presence of a number of Bahrain Polytechnic students and faculty members, as well as students from the Learning Disabilities and Developmental Disabilities program in the university’s Department of Special Education.

The lecture addressed a range of educational strategies and practical applications that can be utilized in the classroom setting to support adult students with ADHD and help them cope with academic demands, follow lectures, and effectively complete assignments and academic tasks.

The lecture also focused on providing practical guidance to the students themselves, including time management, task organization, and the development of effective study habits, all of which contribute to enhancing their academic independence and improving their ability to learn and succeed in university life.

This lecture is part of an effort to raise awareness of educational practices that support students with ADHD and to facilitate the exchange of experiences among specialists, students, and academic institutions in the field of special education, thereby supporting the development of more inclusive learning environments that are responsive to diverse educational needs.

For her part, Dr. Afaf Mubarak Bogui, Director of the Arabian Gulf University Center for Consultancy and Training, emphasized the Center’s commitment to organizing specialized training and awareness programs and activities that meet the needs of the academic community and contribute to the development of educational practices and the enhancement of academic staff competence.

She noted the importance of collaborating with the university’s colleges and educational institutions to implement high-quality initiatives that contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of expertise, as well as to the promotion of educational environments that support students with diverse learning needs.

This lecture is part of Arabian Gulf University Center for Consultancy and Training’s efforts to strengthen partnerships with educational institutions, broaden access to the university’s specialized academic expertise, and offer programs that contribute to the development of the educational process and the establishment of inclusive educational practices that support students with diverse educational needs.
