Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Arabian Gulf University will celebrate the graduation of a new class of students for the 2025/2026 academic year tomorrow, Tuesday, June 16, at Exhibition World Bahrain.

The ceremony will see the graduation of 287 students, including 171 recipients of doctoral degrees in medicine, and 116 graduates with advanced diplomas, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees in various educational, technical, and administrative specializations.

On this occasion, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, expressed his pride in the significant contributions made by the Arabian Gulf University, which help strengthen the healthcare system in the Kingdom of Bahrain in line with the visions and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He commended the continuous care and attention this Gulf academic institution receives at various levels, which has cemented its status as a beacon of academic and research excellence across various specialties, particularly in the medical field.

His Excellency also extended his deepest gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for patronizing the graduation ceremony, emphasizing that this patronage reflects His Royal Highness’s continued interest and support for the higher education sector, based on his belief in the importance of investing in national and Gulf talents and their pivotal role in supporting sustainable development.

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Saad bin Saud Al-Fahaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University, expressed his appreciation for the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, of the university’s graduation ceremony, affirming that this patronage represents generous support for the advancement of higher education, and embodies the leadership’s commitment to nurturing and empowering competencies, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of serving their homelands and contributing to its development.

He noted that the university continues to pursue its academic mission of preparing and training specialized scientific capabilities and strengthening its role in serving development in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He expressed the university’s pride and honor in graduating a new class of its sons and daughters, who represent a qualitative addition to the health, education, and research sectors and contribute to meeting development needs and advancing progress and prosperity in their countries.

It is worth noting that since its establishment, the Arabian Gulf University has contributed to the health sector in the GCC countries by providing 3,624 male and female doctors from among its graduates, in addition to 2,475 holders of advanced diplomas, master’s degrees, and doctorates, who have played an active role in supporting development in the fields of education, innovation and technology management, environmental sciences, and life sciences.
