Overview of the Council
The Scientific Council serves as the executive arm within the university responsible for managing and advancing scientific research, publication, and innovation. Its vital role encompasses setting priorities, allocating resources, safeguarding intellectual property, and encouraging academic collaboration both within the university and with external institutions. The Council also supports governance through the engagement of experts from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Its mission is to oversee scientific affairs, including research activities, scholarly publishing, academic consulting, innovation initiatives, and research chairs, in alignment with the university’s strategic vision and objectives.

Secretary of the Scientific Council
The Secretariat of the Scientific Council at the Arabian Gulf University welcomes you. Its mission is to coordinate and follow up on matters referred by relevant authorities, including college deans, the Chair of the Scientific Council, and His Excellency the University President.
The Secretariat undertakes a range of responsibilities as outlined in the “Regulatory Guidelines for the Scientific Council.” Our core values include collaboration, communication, and passion for our duties, along with a commitment to innovation in the Secretariat’s processes and operations.
