Research Excellence and Promotion of Cutting-Edge Research

Promoting scientific research in the fields of technology management and the development of innovative solutions to the challenges of digital transformation by conducting research that fosters innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable development through the following activities:

  • Organizing and attending conferences and forums
  • Publishing scientific papers
  • Publishing books on technology management and innovation
  • Promoting joint research

Fostering a Culture of Innovation

Supporting innovation and technology entrepreneurship by creating platforms for ideas and startup projects that contribute to the development of the digital economy and encourage creativity among students, faculty, and researchers through the following activities:

  • Holding a series of awareness-raising lectures on emerging technologies and business management
  • Organizing meetings and dialogues with the industrial sector
  • Providing consulting services to the local community
  • Establishing innovation labs equipped with the latest technologies

Strengthening partnerships and collaboration to address challenges

Building strategic partnerships with universities and research institutions locally and internationally to promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise to address regional challenges. Focusing on sustainable technological solutions that benefit the environment and society, while aligning the Chair’s objectives with the Sustainable Development Agenda. Contributing to the development of effective strategies for digital transformation across various sectors, with a focus on technology governance through the following activities:

  • Developing research collaborations with regional and global centers.
  • Conducting projects and contracts under the Chair
  • Providing consulting services to the industrial and public sectors

Human Capacity Building:

Developing national and international talent by designing specialized educational and training programs focused on the latest trends in technology management and enabling digital transformation, through the following activities:

  • Providing scholarships for master’s students in technology management
  • Hiring postdoctoral researchers
  • Appointing an honorary professor in technology management
  • Conducting training courses and workshops

Key Achievements 

  • 14 scientific papers were published in international journals
  • 7 international, regional, and local conferences were attended.
  • Four awareness-raising lectures about the Chair were held at the university.
  • Participation in six forums related to the Chair’s field.
  • An introductory video about the Chair was produced.
  • A research project titled “Establishment of a Digital Innovation Lab for Emerging Technologies to Achieve Sustainable Development in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries” was announced.
  • Two scholarships under the Chair were announced for master’s students in Technology Management. Student Kawthar Al-Jawder was accepted into the Technology Management program under the first scholarship, and the second scholarship will be announced next year (2026–2027).
  • A postdoctoral researcher was announced for the research project.
