Bachelor of Science in Doctor of Medicine

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at Arabian Gulf University is a premier, student-centered initiative dedicated to preparing the next generation of physicians and healthcare leaders for the GCC region. Utilizing an innovative Problem-Based Learning (PBL) curriculum, the program seamlessly integrates rigorous academic theory with early clinical exposure, critical medical research, and structured assessments.

Deeply community-oriented, the program focuses on addressing the unique healthcare and epidemiological needs of the Arabian Gulf, graduating highly competent, ethical, and culturally conscious professionals equipped to drive clinical excellence and healthcare innovation.

Admissions Conditions

1. Academic admission requirements by type of certificate:

A. High School Certificate (Science Major) 

        • A cumulative GPA of at least 95%.
        • The student’s grade in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, & Mathematics must not be less than 90%.)

B. A-Level Certificate 

        • A grade of at least (A) in Biology.
        • In addition to two of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics (or subjects studied from this group).

C. International Bachelor's Certificate (IB)

        • A score of at least 5 in Biology at the Higher Level (HL), or 6 at the Standard Level (SL).
        • In addition to two of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics (or equivalent)

D. Advanced Placement (AP) Program 

        • Achieve a score of at least 4/5 in Biology.
        • In addition to two of the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics (or equivalent)

E. American Diploma (AD) 

        • Achieve a score of at least 550 in English and Mathematics (SAT).
        • In addition to achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 90% for grades 10, 11, and 12, provided that a score of at least 90% is obtained in Biology as well as in two of the following courses: Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics (or courses equivalent).

 

2. Meet one of the following English language requirements:Achieve a score of at least 6 on the IELTS test, or An equivalent score on the TOEFL test, or Pass the university’s English language test.

3. Successfully pass the personal interview.

4. Be in good health according to approved standards.

5. Complete the application form and submit all required documents within the specified period.

6. Pay tuition fees within the specified period and before the start of the academic year.

7. Applicants who do not meet the English language requirement will be placed in the foundation year.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Arabian Gulf University prepares future nurses through a competency-based curriculum integrating clinical practice, simulation, research, leadership, and healthcare technologies. The program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care across diverse healthcare settings in the GCC region.

Admission Requirements

  • Holding a High School Certificate (Science track) or its equivalent with a minimum overall average of 85%.
  • Achieving a minimum of 85% in each of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
  • Meeting one of the following English language requirements:
    • A minimum overall score of IELTS 5.5, or
    • Passing the University English Language Placement Test with a minimum score of B2.
  • Successfully pass the personal interview.
  • The applicant must be in good health according to approved standards.
  • Complete the application form and submit all required documents within the specified period.
  • Pay tuition fees within the specified period and before the start of the academic year.
  • Applicants who do not meet the English language requirement will be placed in the foundation year.

Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services

The Arabian Gulf region is facing a critical shortage of highly qualified, bachelor-level paramedics. By joining the BSc EMS program at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), you are not just earning a degree—you are stepping up to directly improve emergency response quality and patient survival rates across the GCC.

The BSc EMS program is a comprehensive four-year program (plus one internship year) designed to transform dedicated students into elite pre-hospital care providers.

Admission Requirements

  • Admission Requirements

    Applicant's must:

    • Hold a high school diploma (science major) or its equivalent with a cumulative GPA of at least 85%.
    • The applicant’s grade in science subjects (biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics) must not be less than 85% in each subject.
    • Meet one of the following English language requirements:
      • Achieve a score of at least 5.5 on the IELTS test, or
      • An equivalent score on the TOEFL test, or
      • Pass the university’s English language test.
    • Successfully pass the personal interview.
    • The applicant must be physically fit.

    Application Process

    • Complete the application form and submit all required documents within the specified period.
    • Pay tuition fees within the specified period and before the start of the academic year.
    • Applicants who do not meet the English language requirement will be placed in the foundation year, where they will study English (in addition to some other general subjects) for a whole academic year before being considered eligible to start the program.
    • Special Provisions
      • Applicants holding scholarships from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the State of Kuwait must meet the English language requirement at the time of application, in accordance with the regulations of the scholarship-granting authorities in their respective countries.
      • The University reserves the right to select from among applicants based on additional competitive criteria determined by the University Council.
