overview of the council
The Scientific Council serves as the executive arm within the university responsible for managing and advancing scientific research, publication, and innovation. Its vital role encompasses setting priorities, allocating resources, safeguarding intellectual property, and encouraging academic collaboration both within the university and with external institutions. The Council also supports governance through the engagement of experts from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Its mission is to oversee scientific affairs, including research activities, scholarly publishing, academic consulting, innovation initiatives, and research chairs, in alignment with the university’s strategic vision and objectives.
