Scope of Diagnostic Laboratory Services

Objective:

The primary objective of Al-Jawhara Laboratories for Molecular Medicine and Genetic Diagnostics is to provide reliable and timely laboratory services, assist healthcare providers in the appropriate use of laboratory tests, and present laboratory results in a manner that facilitates patient care.

Scope and Complexity:

The laboratories offer a full range of in-house tests. A complete list of tests performed is available on the website, in the Diagnostic Services section.

Types and Ages of Patients Served:

Services are provided to patients of all ages and types.

Reporting of Results and Turnaround Time (TAT):

The diagnostic laboratories are supported by a standalone Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). All contracted hospitals and laboratories can access our LIMS portal to view their patients’ lab results.

Turnaround time (TAT) varies by test and is listed on our website under the Diagnostic Services section.

Service Standards/Guidelines:

• Al-Jawhara Diagnostic Laboratories adhere to the standards of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
• Al-Jawhara Diagnostic Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
