This program offers three specialized tracks: Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disability, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, allowing students to pursue focused specialization based on their research interests and the needs of the educational field in the Gulf region.

The link with distinguished French business schools and universities enables the school to draw on the experience and reputation of these institutions in developing solid, relevant and unique programs to serve the needs of the GCC states best. The MBA program is now cooperating with the ESSEC Business School, one of Europe’s leading business schools, to offer a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a regional flavor, following an extensive marketing study in the Middle East, which included Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Lebanon.

Master of Science in Molecular Medicine

This program develops knowledge and skills in cellular and molecular biology, molecular diagnostics, and molecular mechanisms of disease.

Graduates can implement their acquired skills and knowledge in both research and practical clinical work and will contribute to an increased understanding of pathological processes, diagnostics, biomarker discovery, molecular mechanisms, and treatment of diseases.

This program has a strong focus on research providing a research-led teaching experience and is suitable for students with a background in biomedicine and molecular biology. The courses are designed to appeal to both clinical and basic biomedical scientists and provide comprehensive theoretical and practical training using state-of-the-art techniques in molecular and cellular biology as applied to medicine. 

Admission Requirements

  • A medical degree or a bachelor’s degree awarded in one of the health sciences or related fields (for example, but not limited to, life sciences, genetics, immunology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, dentistry, or pharmacy) from a university recognized by AGU.
  • A minimum overall average of “Very Good” to be considered for the Master of Science and Good” to be considered for the Diploma.
  • General courses in molecular biology or genetics are required.
  • General courses in biochemistry, clinical chemistry, analytical biochemistry, biology, and cell biology are recommended.

Clinical Master in Family Medicine

The Clinical Master in Family Medicine is an intensive two-year postgraduate training program delivered at primary healthcare centres and governmental hospitals across the Kingdom of Bahrain. Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research

The diploma in clinical research is offered at the Clinical Research Center at the Arabian Gulf University. The program aims at building capacity in clinical research in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region to help support the design, execution and management of clinical research projects and trials in GCC hospitals and medical research centers.

The diploma program is suitable for graduates in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, life sciences, ethics committee members, regulatory affairs members and other allied disciplines involved in clinical research projects and trials. The diploma provides skills for a career in the diverse and complex field of clinical research management. The one-year Academic Diploma in clinical research provides clinicians-investigators, research nurses, regulatory authorities, members of research ethics committees, and other clinical research professionals a strong foundation in the methods, ethical conduct, coordination, scientific standards, laws and regulations, as well as the operations and management of a clinical research study. It also focuses on the science of pharmaceutical and medical devices development, stem cells and biotechnology products, as well as medical technologies intended for human use.
