The Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa Chair in Technology Management embodies the university’s strategic vision, which aims to strengthen the role of scientific research and innovation in supporting digital transformation and technological advancement. The chair serves as a unique academic platform that seeks to explore innovative solutions, develop human capital, and strengthen national and global partnerships to achieve a tangible impact in the field of technology management.

KING HAMAD BIN ISA AL KHALIFA CHAIR

The Arabian Gulf University established the Chair of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Digital Education, driven by a visionary commitment to advancing digital transformation across various sectors, including education. This Chair builds upon and further develops the activities of the previous King Hamad Chair in E-Learning, which the University had the honor of hosting in 2010, to keep pace with global developments in the fields of digital technologies and education.

KING FAHD ACADEMIC CHAIR 

Arabian Gulf University has had the honor of hosting the Chair of the Late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in the field of medical biotechnology since the 1997–1998 academic year, with a generous one-time grant of one and a half million Saudi riyals. This chair, which is the first academic chair at the Arabian Gulf University, honors the legacy of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and his pioneering roles in supporting scientific research and promoting scientific and technological development.

SHEIKH JABER ACADEMIC CHAIR

The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Academic Chair in Clinical Microbiology and Immunology represents an important step in the joint efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to promote research, education, and innovation in the fields of microbiology and immunology. The Chair’s mission is to provide high-quality medical education, conduct pioneering research, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and address the challenges posed by infectious diseases in the region.

SHEIKH HAMAD BIN KHALIFA AL THANI CHAIR

The Arabian Gulf University has hosted the His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Academic Chair in Geographic Information Systems since the 1997–1998 academic year. The university developed a comprehensive academic program during the 2001–2002 academic year with the goal of building Gulf capacity in geospatial science applications and their use in addressing priority environmental problems and issues in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

SULTAN QABOOS ACADEMIC CHAIR

The Chair of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said in the field of desert farming was established in October 1994, and the Sultan Qaboos Center for Desert Farming was affiliated with it in 2002. The Chair’s vision is to occupy a prominent scientific position that effectively contributes to the localization and development of modern technologies, helps achieve food and water security in desert environments, and fulfills its mission of conducting innovative scientific research to provide appropriate solutions for the desert environment,

SHEIKH ZAYED ACADEMIC CHAIR

The Arabian Gulf University has hosted the Chair of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Environmental Sciences since the 1997–1998 academic year. In July 2003, a cooperation agreement was signed between the university and the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works in the United Arab Emirates, establishing a permanent endowment with a capital of 7 million UAE dirhams to fund the Chair’s scientific and research activities.

Arabian Gulf University Holds In-Person Final Exams for 83 Students with 100% Attendance

The College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Arabian Gulf University held in-person written exams for 83 students from the GCC countries—all of whom are in their sixth and final year at the college and are pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree—with a 100% attendance rate. His Excellency the University President, Dr. Saad bin Saud Al-Fuhaid, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Maddin, inspected the progress of the exams.
